Santee is a fun family destination. Family reunions are big here and holidays are celebrated in fine style. Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on the Saturday before Easter. Kids can meet the Easter Bunny and search for eggs hidden on the property. This event is a great family afternoon. Our new Aquatic Center, located next door to the Conference Center, offers a refreshing place for families to cool off in the summer months. We have our Lessons and Carols, Luminary Service and Christmas Tree Lighting on the first Wednesday in December. It is a very meaningful evening ushering in the Holiday Season. The Christmas parade is held on the 2nd Sunday in December. Our newly built recreation environment offers softball fields, bocce ball courts, and basketball courts. Located at the Town Hall Complex is a quarter mile track and exercise/fitness trail that is open all the time and is well lit for evening walks in the park. Picnic areas are open behind the Cultural Arts Building. Two large brick grills are available as well as outdoor restroom facilities. Pets are allowed to come explore, but they must be leashed. Look at our calendar for special events. There is always something new.
Our town is a wonderfully serene place to live or visit. We are uniquely inventive when it comes to family entertainment, restful retirement, or overnight stops. Coming to Santee gives you a sense of peace, quiet, and relaxation. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy our Southern Hospitality. It is always a brand new day in Santee!
